Turning south from Tillamook, I kept to the coast following the Oregon Coast Bicycle Route. The weather has been brooding and cm rainy during this, the shipwreck season. A furious ocean with high winds and tall waves batters the basalt coast as it has done for 14 million years. I pull in to the Cape Meares Lighthouse just before a heavy rain.
In May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing.
