Vermont never dissapoints. The first sweet aroma of spruce blows through damp fern floored forests of birch, ash and spruce. The many trails and forest roads of the Green Mtn. NF offer days of recreation and relaxation. So far I've explored FS71 and Grout Pond for a couple nights and will continue exploring and fishing the area.

Richard, it's the water conveyance from the Somerset Res. Quite impressive 20th century engineering

Mike, what a coincidence. We are leaving tomorrow for Maine and plan on spending time in the Catskills (on the way up) and the Adirondacks (on the way back). If you see a silver Kia Soul with WV plates beeping at you, it's probably us. Be safe.

Enjoy! I'd highly suggest a stop in the Green Mtns of VT if you can. Gorgeous area and quaint old towns. Enjoy!

Mike SaundersIn May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing. Archives
