Now that I am back in the lower 48, I've decided to shed some gear and reimagine my packing setup. I'm shipping home my hiking backpack in favor of a camelback day bag and purchased new Ortleib Classic panniers. I had to make some mounting points for them. A quick trip to Home Depot found me with some hose clamps and D rings which I mouted to the seat rail. This allows the bags to lock in to place with their stock latches. No more "shit where did my bag go!?" moments.
In May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing.
