I had been looking forward to seeing St. Augustine. The historic town is the oldest in the nation having switched hands between the Spanish, Brits, Confederate States and Union many times. With nearly 500 years of history, the old buildings and fort made for a splendid journey. It reminded me of historic Williamsburg mixed with Old Town Montreal. The historic churches, town buildings and hotel had varied architecture drawing from the many influences of those who occupied that era.
In May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 55'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing.
