I enjoyed 6 days in the park with my backcountry camping permit ($10) and was nearly down to the last of my food supply. It was time to visit Terlingua again for a resupply and an evening visit with Ara at "The Oasis". A cloudy sky and cooler temperatures were in store, which naturally lends to the most beautiful sunsets. Ara prepares a fire and bakes a few potatoes and lays out boneless chicken thighs cooked over pecan wood. NO SEASONING NECESSARY! |

Mike SaundersIn May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing. Archives
