I had a memorable stay in San Francisco and enjoyed exploring the city on foot instead of by bike. One day I walked 7 mi or more down into Golden Gate Park to explore the Japanese gardens and museums that fill the well manicured botanical paradise. I had the amazing opportunity to meet Stu and Sebastiaan of Ride North for pints at Zeitgeist and homemade pizza afterward. What skilled photographers and equally inspiring figures in the adventuring community. After a few days of wonderful hosptiality, I could hear my body and mind clamoring for the solitude of the forest. On Sunday I bid farewell to SF and set out for Half Moon Bay and the open space preserves of the La Honda area.

Mike SaundersIn May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing. Archives
