I said goodbye to the Pacific Ocean and the familiar western coast and turned east. The rainstorm followed me through the day as I worked up Hwy94 past Campo, CA. It was so nice to get in my dry clothes and sleep for 11 hours. I attempted to make my way to Tempe but wound up needing a non-non-interstate route there. This required an additional 100mi trek around the Colorado River to connect back on I-10.

Mike SaundersIn May 2014 I quit my job to ride a Honda Ruckus over 69'000 mi and counting. Wild camping most nights and cooking most of my own meals, I keep the costs low and the landscape changing. Archives
