he tack welded the nut to the drveshaft and I am riding back to the Playa El Tecolote for xmas. I am ellated. will search for a new wheel on Friday and probably a new tire too.

Glad you were able to have a temporary fix put in place and keep on the road. I follow your travels with something that fluctuates between awe and fear. Your fortitude and mojo is far beyond what I've ever needed to call upon. Best wishes for continued good fortune.

Steve, Thanks for the kind words. That means a lot coming from you. I look forward to paying you a visit when I work my way up to PA in the spring/summer 2015.

Bill, I wound up finding the thief who stole my helmet and got it back after some interesting low-speed chase around the city. I need to update the blog this weekend to fill everyone in on my travels.

I'm back in the USA now! :)
