Over the course of my travels, I have developed an affinity for the therapeutic and destructive forces of water. Travelling by road and highway on a motorcycle can be a loud and fast mode of transport. The bicycle revealed the peace and quiet of nature without the company of an engine. Taking the concept further, I enthusiastically am preparing for a 4 month solo canoe journey down the Mississippi River. The trip will begin in the headwaters of Lake Itasca, MN and continue 2'320 miles downriver to the Gulf of Mexico.
