While enjoying the view of the ice bergs earlier, a fellow motorcyclist on a KTM 950 rolled past and waved. At the Whaler's Restaurant, I ran into him and shared a seat at the table. Exchanging stories of our trip across the Trans-Lab, we both were happy the dust and potholes were behind us and a big plate of fish and chips ahead. I'm terrible at remembering names and unfortunately did not write his down. Check in if you read this and I'll be sure to update it. Sorry!
The day was growing long and my disposition a bit frazzled with the looming mechanical difficulties but u kept my chin up and took many pics along the final ride in to Red Bay. Historically established as a Basque whaling port in the 16 th century, it's name suppoaedly comes from the blood which stained the rock and water. Today it is a UNESCO world heritage site and Canadian Park to the rich fishing and whaling history along the Straight of Belle Isle.
