Family friends Joel and Kim were kind enough to let me stay the weekend with them while their daughter in law Julie and two grandchildren roamed the coop. I hadn't seen any of them in over 10 years so we had plenty of catching up to do. They had a white and red chili warming on the stove. Afterward, we relaxed with some suds and chatted about life and our families.
In the morning after a delicious Father's Day breakfast, Joel took me out on a golf cart tour of the 100'000 person Villages.
I spent an hour or so in the pool and lounging in the sun working on my tan. Years in an office have substantially lowered my risk of skin cancer.
My watermelon gift was enjoyed by all ad was very moist but not overly sweet.
Tonight we are grilling up some pork tenderloin and chicken breast for dinner.
I'm heading north Monday AM.
